The online type-specific ECDIS training course will provide you with knowledge of the functionality and effective use of the Furuno ECDIS FEA-2107/2807 series. The training course is compliant with regulatory demands for maker-approved type-spe­cific certification.

The content of the online training course and the certificate is the same as if you attended a classroom training course.

Duration: This online training course can be taken at your own pace, with the possibility to enter and exit the course as often as you require. Estimated time: 16 hours.

Course content

• Familiarization with available functions and the menu structure.

• Display setup and setting of safety values.

• Recognition of alarms and malfunction indicators and the appropriate actions to be taken.

• Route planning and monitoring.

• Changing to back-up systems.

• Loading and updating charts and licenses.

• Software updating.

Training certificate: The training course includes small tests after each lesson, eliminating the need for a final, conclusive test. When you have passed all tests, a certificate will be generated immediately and issued on the NavSkills Online platform.
